What is the issue addressed?

Greenhouse gas emissions continue to increase despite renewable energy deployments, making carbon dioxide removal (CDR) essential to mitigating climate change. Meaningful CDR must scale to gigatons of CO2e removed annually. Rising temperatures are causing negative climate feedback loops.

How is the problem solved?

Our technology sequesters carbon regardless of future climate conditions, providing long term sequestration in valuable products that enables scaling to gigaton-scale sequestration levels while providing secondary benefits in biodiversity, pollution abatement, and economic development.

What is the customer target?

Governments in coastal nations wishing to develop marine resources while mitigating historical emissions. Other market segments include: aquaculture, building materials, coastal protection, and beach replenishment.

How is this solution different?

Ecosphero’s additive manufacturing technology sequesters carbon in valuable products with the production flexibility to address multiple markets and reach gigaton-scale sequestration levels. Our 3D printer combines novel additive technology with mineralization science for direct and durable sequestration in end products, eliminating the need for additional processing and mitigating emission risk.
